Puff Puff, Pass. The Bill
No doubt, there are a lot of messed up things about weed in terms of the health issues it causes, but there also might be a bunch of good things about weed, too. Im not a smoker myself, and in general Im not in favor of weed (I dont need to smell your bud as Im grilling outside), but this might be a good idea:
Citizens of California are considering a proposition that would allow anybody over 21 to have weed for personal use. Its costing a ton, and adding to the prison population for people who probably dont pose a threat. Not to mention that it might curb some of the violence that comes with illegal drug distribution.
While the jury might be out on whether ganja is a net positive or negative for human health, one thing I know for sure is that a lot of people get arrested for marijuana who probably dont need to. And just because weed would be suddenly legal, I wouldnt go out and start smoking.
I know we have all seen funny shirts and/or funny tee shirt designs that have allowed us to know what the little green leaf looks like, and we have definitely seen other items that have it plastered all over them so maybe when it isnt such a clich to wear it and isnt a trend once it is legal we will see far less green leafs around town.
